I received the colour Frosting (rosy pink) and am totally looking forward to the day when they bring out more shades to choose from (they also offer minis of these shades for $13 each) since these are so beautiful on and don’t feel as drying as other matte liquid lipsticks out there. I wouldn’t say these are non-transferable since it’s a creamy texture but if you like the look of matte liquid lipsticks but don’t like how they feel, then I think you’ll enjoy these. It has a delectable vanilla scent to it and won’t dry out your lips.
SUGAR RUSH MAKEUP SKIN
All four shades are neutrals, making them wearable for just about any skin tone and the formula itself contains sunflower seed and rosehip oil to help smooth the appearance of lips. These liquid lipsticks, available in four shades, dry down to a velvety matte texture that give you a finish worthy of a lipstick that’s more than C$20. If you’re looking for more colour, then their Sugar Coat Velvet Lipsticks (C$19) should be right up your alley. I haven’t applied these with my fingers but I did find a brush did a good job of applying the product. Honestly, you wouldn’t even be able to tell that this isn’t a Tarte-branded product, that’s how good of a job it does (Tarte doesn’t offer a cream blush formula, but their Amazonian Clay Blushes retail for C$38, so almost double the price). I got both shades, Beaches & Cream (peachy pink) and Ocean Girl (rosy pink), and although I’m not really a cream blush fan these did do a good job on packing the colour on for a natural-looking flush. The formula contains shea butter, mango seed butter, and avocado oil to leave skin moisturized. These blushes are a gel-cream formula which you can apply with your fingers or a brush for a flawless, natural finish. Available in two shades, these blushes are housed in a seashell case that opens up to the product along with a mirror. At first glance you would never even know that the Beach Cheeks Cream Blushes (C$20) aren’t even part of the regular Tarte line since the packaging is definitely something you would see the brand come out with. I received a couple of their Beach Cheeks Cream Blushes, along with an assortment of lip products.

The brand features a cute cactus brush set, a couple eyeshadow palettes (including one that looks like a watermelon), blushes, lipsticks, and more.

Now I’m 30 but definitely think I’m young at heart, so I was jumping for joy when some of these items came in. There are under 20 items to choose from, all under $25 USD, making it super affordable and – not going to lie – geared towards more of a younger audience. Although the line features a small amount of items compared to Tarte, its main focus is on skincare and makeup. Sugar Rush is the kid sister to Tarte and features the same healthy ingredients and fun, cheeky packaging as its predecessor (in fact, all the packaging is recyclable). In my eyes, the vegan makeup line basically can’t go wrong with any beauty item, so when I saw they came out with a whole new brand of products, I was instantly intrigued.

I love practically everything Tarte Cosmetics does.
